A Few of My 2016 Favs So Far

Whoa it's been awhile! January threw a little curve ball at me and I ended up super busy. Then, after a business trip last weekend, I brought home a little 24-hour bug that left me down and out for a few days.

Even though it's been a busy year so far, I've had a chance to test out a few new products and studios and I'm so excited to share them with you.

As I'm writing this it's about 0 degrees out. If you're dreaming of summer, head over to ((305)) Fitness' new midtown east studio. Conveniently located right next the 33rd st stop off the 6 train, the workout hailing from Miami's new studio features a live DJ for each class along with a curated light show, a lounge, a studio for private events and 2 new class offerings: ((305)) Sculpt and Yoga For Better Sex. The dance cardio class I took was fun, upbeat and successfully kicked my ass. There are lockers inside and outside of the locker room. $32/class, 33 E 33rd St, www.305fitness.com.

If you're taking a night class at ((305)) and are looking for something to take the edge off of the day that's also slightly healthy, grab a 6-pack of Smart Beer, NY's first organic brew. Crafted with the lifestyle of those like you and I in mind, Smart Beer is also non-GMO and made with the purest herbal ingredients. I really enjoyed the crisp, clean taste. www.smartbeercompany.com.

I'm happy to report that I've been running again. While I was out on injury I was sent a fun new device called The Milestone Pod. You lace the little pod onto the front of your shoe and hit the pavement (after you've downloaded the app)! The Milestone Pod records your mileage, pace, time, cadence, calories burned, foot strike, stance time, rate of impact, stride length, leg swing and runficiency. I'm really enjoying using this and seeing how I improve or regress with each run. The only thing I don't love is that I can't tell how accurate the milage/time is. It is completely off from my Garmin! I highly suggest investing in The Milestone Pod if you're looking for something that tells you more about your running form. It's also a really great indicator of when you need new shoes as it syncs up to the exact type of show you run in. $25/pod, www.Milestonepod.com.

When I'm not running or taking classes from my Fitreserve membership, I try to do home workouts. I've recently teamed up with Booya Fitness to curate a fitness plan for the badass working girls out there who need a little assistance getting their workout routine back on track. Each day- whether a work day or rest day- comes with an email with suggestions on how to have a kick ass day. I also included nutrition tips so users can make easy meals and snacks. Each plan is a different length and price varies. Check my plan out here: http://bit.ly/1nbLZPq

Can't wait to hear what you think of everything!
